This tiny restaurant, in a seemingly even tinier shopping center at Hollywood and La Brea, has been around for four years. It serves traditional Armenian and Russian regional cuisine. Its dining room is elegant and simple, with a large-screen TV playing both English and Russian language shows. At this restaurant, you can find classic, well-known Eastern European fare like Beef Stroganoff and Russian borscht. It also makes lesser known dishes in the states like Khashlama Veal or oxtail as well as Tabaka (Cornish hen). Roubo's may be best known for its tender, plentiful Pelmeni (meat dumplings). Although this restaurant doesn't serve alcohol, you'll find a wide selection of tea, sodas and classic Russian soft drinks.
