The Roseville Fire Department started in 1907 with 16 volunteer firefighters working at two stations. Now the department consists of eight stations.
The department also includes a three-acre training facility, which includes a six-story training tower. The training facility has computerized burn rooms, classroom, rescue props and is a training hub for other regional law and fire agencies.
The Roseville Fire Department also partners with Sierra College, offering training to students aspiring to become firefighters.
