Yuliard Aesthetic Center offers music lessons for students of all ages. Instruction is available in piano, piano duet, accompaniment and chamber ensemble. Depending on age and experience, students may study at pre-piano, beginner, intermediate, late intermediate and advanced levels. Russian-born classical pianist Yuliya Barsky founded the school after teaching extensively in Europe and America. Her instruction is modeled after the traditional style of the Russian classical school. Barsky believes that learning music improves a child's problem solving skills, team work, goal setting, self-expression, coordination, memory, self-confidence, concentration and poise. Parents are encouraged to be very involved in their child's learning by scheduling daily practice at home and attending parent conferences with instructors. Occasionally, the studio organizes public performances by the students.
