This organization teaches disabled children and adults to horseback ride in a safe environment. It is a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) member operating center and has been in business since 1994. The teachers are trained in therapeutic riding techniques and are certified in addition to all being volunteers who go through classes in riding and safety. The horses used are selected for their calmness and gentle nature. Participants learn to groom, saddle and ride the horses, but this is all dependent upon their abilities. Fun is provided through games and exercises. Bareback and English riding are included, but it should be remembered that this is all dependent upon the needs of the disabled person.
