History
Resurrection Catholic School was born on February 21, 1950 of a dream shared by the Franciscan Sisters of Mary Immaculate, Resurrection Parish children, and Father Alker, the church pastor. The school was the fulfillment of both a desire and a necessity, to provide a Catholic Education to families who wanted quality schooling for their children. With the help of Fr. Alker and the First Principal, Sr. Emma Oswald FMI, 211 students took their seats in September of 1950. The current pastor, Msgr. John Moretta has been leading the community and the school since 1985 and continues to lead our school in living the mission set forth by the founding sisters. In addition to our priest, who supplies faith and academic guidance, our congregation of the Fanciscan Mary Immaculate support Resurrection with two Nuns, Sr. Criselda Vela (3rd Grade) and Sr. Adriana Gomez (Religious Counselor and Choir Director).
