The furniture is used for TV but never used in a living situation. The studios spend enormous amount of money buying high end items to achieve there goal to make a convincing show. Most of the items have small blemishes from being moved around on off the set but have never been exposed to pets, food, or human daily use. By recycling the furniture we cut down not only on cost to the consumer for something that may have been out of there financial reach but also minimizing the waste shed by studios.
