The San Francisco Port Commission, a part of the City and County of San Francisco in California, governs the Port of San Francisco. It has a board of commissioners and is responsible for the development, marketing, administration and maintenance of San Francisco Waterfront adjacent to the San Francisco Bay. The commission comprises of more than 550 ground, commercial, retail, office, industrial and maritime industrial properties, such as Fisherman s Wharf, PIER 39 and AT&T Park. San Francisco Port Commission conducts various regular meetings and operates committees. The Port of San Francisco is a public enterprise that is responsible for maritime, recreational, industrial, transportation, public access and commercial activities.
