Pollo Campero is a fast food Guatemalan restaurant serving Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and biscuits. There's a salsa bar to spice things up with roasted chipotle and verde salas, limes, chopped onions, cilantro, jalapenos, along with interesting side-dishes like sweet caramelized plantains, cilantro flavored pinto beans, and Campero coleslaw. The chain started in the 1970's in Guatemala, and only opened in Hollywood just a few years ago. A cross between KFC and El Pollo Loco, their chicken is fried to crispy-skin perfection. In the brightly lit restaurant there's a fun wall mural on the wall that shows off their cartoon chicken mascots. Located near Andrews Place it's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there's a large parking lot with ample parking.
