Established in 1967, Pioneer High School provides educational services to more than 200 students. It enrolls students in grades 9 through 12. The school provides classes in English, math, science, social science, foreign language, health education and language arts. It includes a woodshop, home economics room, and silkscreen and biology laboratories. Pioneer High School has a staff of a counselor, librarian, psychologist, social worker, nurse, and resource, speech, language and hearing specialists. It has a library and media center that includes a variety of books and periodicals. The school also offers guidance counseling services. Located in Redding, Calif., Pioneer High School is governed by the Shasta Union High School District, which also governs several adult schools.
