Stanislaus National Forest Vista: Rim of the World

The Groveland Ranger District is on the southern edge of the Forest. The district office is located 8 miles east of the town of Groveland on the North Yosemite Highway 120. The district encompasses 206,688 acres.

Pinecrest Lake National Recreation Trail

This beautiful and moderately easy National Recreation Trail follows the shoreline around Pinecrest Lake, crossing the Stanislaus River, the lake's inlet, and the dam. Hike clockwise starting from the Pinecrest Lake Marina or counterclockwise starting from the South Shore Day Use parking area.
