Pilarcitos Altenative High School is a program for students in grades 10-12 who wish to complete their education in a nontraditional environment. The school has been part of the Cabrillo Unified School District for over 30 years.
Students come to Pilarcitos High School for varied reasons. Most are students deficient in the number of credits they need to graduate, but others attend the school because they want to graduate early. A few students are involved in full-time professional pursuits and need to enroll in independent study.
In addition to the traditional subject areas, students can enroll in Computer Literacy, G.E.D. (General Educational Development Test), and C.H.S.P.E. (California High School Proficiency Examination) programs and Typing.
