Founded by J.J. Pennypacker in 1959, the Petaluma Argus-Courier is a weekly newspaper currently owned by the New York Times Co. The Argus-Courier has gone through many changes over the years from a local twice-a-day newspaper to a weekly tabloid. Today, the Argus-Courier is a news- and community-oriented newspaper covering the arts, education, community and more. The paper's award-winning website, Petaluma360.com, was launched in 2007. It includes reporting, opinion, design, public service and editorial commentary. In 2008, the Argus-Courier won awards for general excellence and was named best website among midsize weekly newspapers serving California.
