History
The Ronsheimer building is an iconic sight on Main Street in downtown Penngrove. Built in 1872, it has served as a railroad station, general store and mercantile, grocery store, restaurant, post office, and hardware store. In May of 2015, fire caused the closure of the Ronsheimer building. As the building lay dormant and empty, Rebecca McDowell dreamed of providing a market and community hub in the heart of Penngrove. As the Sessi family lovingly restored and revitalized the building, Rebecca, her husband, Evan, and long time friends, Joe and Shaina Ferraro, collaborated to create the new Penngrove Market.
