History
Peaceful Pets Aquamation was founded by Jerry Shevick, a former television executive and animal lover who was dismayed at how our deceased pets were being treated like discarded garbage. With the discovery of Aquamation, Jerry found the perfect synthesis of environmental responsibility and dignity for animals. The company is unique in its approach and has brought what was previously a dark corner of the pet industry into the 21st century.
Specialties
Though we are always open during normal business hours, we are also available by phone 24/7. If you need our help outside of business hours, please call - we'll do our best to accommodate you. Our mission is to respect your pet in its aftercare as much as you did in life. Unlike traditional cremation, our process is non-toxic and does not contribute to green house gases, it is gentler on the pet and the cost is no more, and often less, than that of cremation. We are pet owners who decided there was a better and more responsible way to take care of animals after they have passed on. Our dedication to your pet begins when we arrive at the veterinarian's office or your home to pick-up your pet. Unlike other services, we use a customized refrigerated truck. Even the journey from your home or vet's office to our facility is designed to preserve the pets' dignity. After the aquamation process is complete, your pet's remains are returned to you in a decorative container or you can choose a more personalized urn. Peaceful Pets Aquamation provides its services throughout Southern California -- from Orange County to Santa Barbara, including all areas of greater Los Angeles.
