Founded in 1979 as Pacific Balloon Company, PBC International is a maker of specialty gift products including musical toys, plush toys, balloons and candy. It operates its business from an 86,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Oxnard, Calif. The company has created a variety of novel and fresh gift items that are sold in floral shops, gift stores and major retail grocery and department store chains throughout the country. One of its most successful products was the self-sealing, screen-printed Mylar balloon. PBC International also created Floral Huggers, the Tag-Along line of plush toys, Tag-Along musical items, the Chantilly Lane line of animated, musical, singing bear collectibles and AmeriGift candy gift items. Customers select these items as gifts for special events, such as graduation, and for practically all of the seasonal holidays, such as Christmas, Easter, Valentine s Day and Halloween.
