After a combined 20 + years in the wine / restaurant industry, Mat decided winemaking was the next step and his love of the world of wine assisted. By starting his own label Mat is able to have full control of the quality of wine Paul Mathew produces.
Specialties
Paul Mathew Vineyards is committed to low input winemaking using indigenous yeast and Malolactic bacteria. This winemaking style produces wine lush on the palate with seamless flavors. This process is much slower and more time consuming than traditional commercial winemaking. Low input winemaking showcases the fruit and the site. Pinot Noir is our largest focus with chardonnay, rose of pinot noir & valdiguie being produced in small quantities.
