Park School is a small neighborhood school that opened in 1909 in order to accommodate the hundreds of families that relocated to Marin after San Francisco's 1906 earthquake. As a result of steady and heavy enrollment, the school's original building was torn down and replaced by an art deco building in 1939. Today, Park School serves over 350 students from kindergarten through fifth grade. The school is known for its rigorous and engaging curriculum and its focus on the environment.
