Paddle board Pilates is a fabulous combination that I started here in SAN Diego; however, great minds think alike, at the same time people all over the world started combining it as well. Pilates seamlessly transfers onto the board on the water. Although classes are small in number the lovely clients I have do a great job of keeping the class feeling inviting and full. Being that I have just two boards classes are rarely larger than 4 people. Making the personal attention much more intense. With the added workout from paddling, this is a full body workout. The first paddle was very nerve wracking. It's wobbly, and you propel your body with arms and use the legs for resistance. It feels awkward at first. But sit down, drop the anchor; and you are floating stably on your own vessel. With the blue skies above and calm flat waters below. We do not paddle in the waves. If you have balance issues there is a chance you could fall in but then you just get wet.
