Locally owned and operated in historic Oroville for over 65 years. After WWII, Jim and Betty Ryan open the Oroville Flower Shop in the State Theatre Building in downtown Oroville. The shop grew and moved to then-thriving Oroville Inn before constructing a new building on Lincoln Blvd near the library. 1970- The Ryan's hire professionally trained florist Jim Smith, who honed his extraordinary design skill in Pasadena creating unique wedding events and floats for the Rose Parade. 1976- The Ryan's retire after 30 years turning over ownership to Jim. He adds an indoor pond and water fountain that create a lasting impression with customers. 1998- The Oroville Flower Shop family tree grows as Jim turns over ownership to daughter and protege, Julie Jackson and son in law, Jack Jackson. 2013- Another branch of the family tree, Phil & Debbie Smith, son and daughter in law of Jim Smith, assume ownership of Oroville Flower Shop. Phil & Debbie bring business degrees, experience and service.
