Founded in 1982, the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization serving as the Regional Volleyball Association (RVA) for Northern California and Northern Nevada. Under the umbrella of USA Volleyball (USAV), NCVA is part of the national governing body for beach, indoor, and sitting volleyball in the United States.
With over 25,000 registered members, 1,400 teams, and 400 clubs, NCVA hosts Boys’ programming from September to January, Girls’ programming from January to May, and Beach programming from May to August. Offering league play and tournaments at various levels, the association is renowned for events like the NCVA Power League, Far Western National Qualifier/Bid Tournament, and Sierra National Qualifier, which provide opportunities for junior athletes to earn bids to the USAV National Championships.
Irrespective of age or skill level, NCVA caters to a diverse range of athletes, ensuring ample opportunities to participate in volleyball within the region and across the nation.
