The Northern California Cement Masons JATC provides apprentice programs in cement masonry through instruction and on-the-job training.
There has been a recent demand for cement masons in projects with transportation infrastructure, water delivery systems and new homes. The departments of Labor, Management and Education and the government joined together to invest in the Northern California Cement Masons JATC.
The curriculum and instruction is completed in three years and includes 432 training hours in classes that explore the uses and applications of masonry. In addition, there are 42,000 on-the-job training hours with an experienced mason.
