Founded in 1948, the North Tahoe Public Utility District provides a range of sewer solutions. Its service area includes the communities of Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Brockway Vista, Carnelian Bay, Cedar Flat and Agate Bay in California. The district operates sewer, water, and parks and recreation departments, as well as maintains various public beaches. It owns and manages the North Tahoe Regional Park, North Tahoe Community Conference Center and National Avenue Community Center. The district also maintains force mains, gravity lines, pumps, manholes, pumping facilities, and satellite and booster stations. It offers more than 8,000 connections. The North Tahoe Public Utility District promotes several recreational programs.
