Our Beginnings The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of North San Diego County opened on July 6, 1999. The Center is hosted by MiraCosta College and funded in part by the U.S Small Business Administration, and MiraCosta College. Our service area covers all of San Diego County north of Interstate 8. The SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The North San Diego County Small Business Development Center is dedicated to increasing the economic vitality of the community. We do this by helping small businesses and entrepreneurs build a foundation for success. Our consulting services are provided at NO COST (A small fee for most seminars and workshops may apply.) and include, government contracting, marketing, growth, finance, and more! One-On-One Consulting with real-time practicing consultants, who have either owned or own their businesses. The range of expertise includes but is not limited to: business start up and/or acquisition, computer applications and e-Commerce, financial analysis and cost control, government procurement, marketing and sales, accounting and record keeping, human resources and business planning and expansion. In addition to providing these core services, we are committed to finding innovative and strategic ways to improve, enhance and grow your small business.
