Nick Sciabica & Sons olive oil is known throughout the world. In fact, the company s Sevillano Fall olive oil took the highest award at the World Olive Oil Day tasting in Lucca, Italy, and one of Italy's most prominent tasters wanted to take the bottle home with him. The company began in 1936, when Nicola Sciabica, and his son, Joseph, began cold pressing olive oil in California. Today, their family continues to produce 100-percent extra virgin olive oil in the same way. The company s oils are pressed separate by variety of olive, much like wines, and time of year picked. The greatest difference in flavor will be the result of time of year, split into the three seasons of fall, winter and spring. Nick Sciabica & Sons maintains offices in Modesto, Calif.
