Since 1970 the NAPA Valley Dog Training Club has promoted responsible pet ownership. It offers classes in dog obedience for the community, as well as provides advanced training for individuals interested in showing their dogs. The club sees to the benefit of the whole community by having family dogs cared for and socialized properly. Specialty classes include clicker training, tracking, conformation/show handling, animal assisted therapy skills, and seminars covering a range of topics. Individual and family memberships are $35 a year. Classes are 55 minutes a week for seven weeks. The club is located in the Old Sawyer's Tannery building.
