History
In 1915 the Napa Golf & Country Club leased 100 acres from Frank Coombs for the construction of a 9-hole golf course. In 1923 Napa Valley Country Club was incorporated and purchased the leased land. The club remained a 9-hole course through the 1980s when additional land was purchased to expand to an 18-hole course. The new clubhouse was built in 2004 creating the modern era golf, tennis, and social club you see today. From a golf perspective, the duality of a 100 year old front nine with a modern-era back nine makes its 6,314 yards an exercise in technical play with elevation changes, tricky slopes, water hazards and compact greens. And of course incredible vineyard views.
