The Museum on Main is the steward of our community's historical treasures. Through our children's education center, museum library and archive, and dynamic exhibits it speaks to the character of Pleasanton. The Amador-Livermore Valley Historical Society ( ALVHS ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to linking the past to the future by preserving, clarifying and disseminating information about history specific to this region. Founded in 1963, ALVHS currently carries out its mission through the following programs and projects:
