Monroe Elementary School is a Monrovia Unified School District public school located on West Colorado Boulevard in central Monrovia.
Monroe is built on a historic site, originally known as Orange Avenue School, which dates back to the 1880s. The school is named after the founder of Monrovia, William H. Monroe. Monroe's mascot is the lion.
Monroe has been named a California Distinguished School, a Title 1 Achieving School, and has received a Bravo Award for fine arts.
