History
I have worked with individuals, couples, families and adolescents at the JFK Community Center in Concord, Oak Creek Counseling Center in Pleasant Hill, and at the Bay Area Psychotherapy Training Institute in Lafayette. I am now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice, treating primarily parents. I earned my B.A. from Tufts University, an M.A. in Economics from New Mexico State University, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University.

I specialize in psychotherapy with adults who are too hard on themselves, especially parents. Areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, parenting, chronic pain, and life transitions. I have expertise and experience with postpartum depression/anxiety, parenting stress and ambivalence about parenthood. My style is warm, authentic and nonjudgmental, and I work collaboratively with my clients. Using insight-oriented psychotherapy and mindfulness techniques, I will help you find a way to stop feeling stuck and move forward. I also provide nutritional counseling for clients who would like to improve overall well-being and improve symptoms.
