The McKinley Children's Center provides special support, counseling and education to nearly 200 children in San Dimas, Calif. It provides accommodation in cottage homes surrounded by playing fields, a collective dining room, counseling offices and the specialized Canyon View School. It offers mental health services, such as life skills, conflict resolution, interpersonal relations with family and friends and other treatment-focused activities. Its professional team of doctors, nurses and social workers provides medication monitoring and counseling services. It provides day rehabilitation services that assist children in developing their social skills. Its Family Ties foster program includes work with foster parents throughout the community and assists foster children in living in their homes.
