History
The farm began was started in 1927 by Hugh and Vernice McKellar. They grew a variety of things since the beginning, but finally settled on citrus. Hugh and Vernice have passed on, but their son, Farmer Bob, has taken up the reigns. Farmer Bob manages the farming operations and is a successful entrepreneur. In addition to the farm he has started a wedding and event venue called Historic Seven Sycamores Ranch (also includes the McKellar Family home which is now a vacation rental for travelers), a produce delivery service called Family Farm Fresh, and an agritourism operation called McKellar Family Farms. He may be retired, but a farmer's work is never really done. In addition to managing the businesses, Farmer Bob has taken up an active role as community agricultural educator, giving behind-the-scenes farm tours to people from around the world.
