The Masonic Home at Union City, a community partner for more than 110 years, provides senior care and nursing services to about 300 California Masons, their wives, widows, and mothers. These services are provided through residential community and outreach programs to fulfill the physical, social and spiritual needs of the extended Masonic community.
Among its community efforts are support for local education through service learning programs and student volunteer opportunities provided to area public colleges and local high schools, as well as tutoring provided by several residents at a local elementary school.
Support for Masonic Homes is provided by contributions from the Masons. Outreach and nursing services are a direct effort and one of the oldest forms of Masonic Charity. Masonic Homes communities feature accommodating apartments in addition to ammenities like a library, fitness center, Chaplin, on-site medical care, transportation to off-site events, 24 hour emergency response service and more.
