History
The General Store started out in 1865 as Rask's Meat Market. Sometime around 1885 after most of the town burned, the store was rebuilt and has been run as a General Store since then. Bob and Dee Rudden purchased the store in 1986. Sadly, in 2010, Bob passed away but Dee continued to run the store. In July of 2011, Dee was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and had to have an operation which left her unable to work. Dee gave her cancer a good fight but lost the battle in February of 2012. Fortunately, she had trained her daughter Laura and so she took the running of the store over. Laura did this until 2013 when she decided on another career path and went to school. At this time, DeAnne stepped in and to this day continues to run the family business.
