The school was 59 percent white, 23 percent Asian and 7 percent Latino in 2008-09. Additionally, 9 percent of students were categorized as socioeconomically disadvantaged; 17 percent as English learners; and 2 percent as having disabilities.
The school offers a number of ways for families to become involved, including the School Site Council, PTA, Albany Music Fund, Albany Education Foundation, English Language Learner Advisory Committee, SchoolCare and by volunteering in classrooms.
The school also provides classroom newsletters, phone calls, parent-teacher conferences and a school-wide weekly newsletter.
