History
The first Non-Traumatic spine procedure was done by us in 1996. Since then, many thousands of Non-Traumatic spine procedures have been done here. The optimal techniques and technology for performing these procedures at the highest state-of-the-art level were developed at the Back Institute. These approaches have been published in more than 40 peer reviewed publications and accepted by other spine specialists throughout the world. The entire span of spine surgery approaches are provided here to meet the needs of the specific patient. The emphasis of the Back Institute is to avoid unnecessary surgical damage to the spine.
Specialties
Back Institute is unique in providing non-traumatic spine surgery, resulting in zero damage to the spine and a much speedier recovery time than traditional spine surgery. The fundamental approaches to non-traumatic spinal disc removal were invented here. Because our outpatient non-traumatic procedures don't involve bone removal, cutting or bleeding, we are able to do surgery in just one day. These procedures are safe and easy on the patient, so patients need not bring anyone with them.
