Looking Glass Children's Services is a non-public agency contracted by school districts to provide behavioral intervention for special needs children. Although their specialty is classroom intervention, home intervention is also an option. The behavioral services offered here include in class one-on-one behavioral intervention, in home one-on-one behavioral intervention, classroom consultation, curriculum adaption, therapeutic companions, social skills training, parent training, and respite services. Programs are adapted to individual students' needs using strategies such as CABA, DTT, floor time, pivotal response, visual strategies, and special education techniques. The executive director of Looking Glass, Christine Anderson MEd, is the mother of an autistic child and founded the company in 2000, drawing from her experience as a special educator and behavioral therapist.
