The Lonny Chapman Group Repertory Theatre has won several drama awards and many special awards within the community of North Hollywood, Calif., for its work with children, seniors and the physically impaired. The theatre, which is a converted Laundromat, opened in 1972 with an eight-member acting company. Since its debut, Lonny Chapman Group Repertory Theatre has put on more than 175 productions. The theatre seats 99. It is run on a volunteer basis. Past productions at the Lonny Chapman Group Repertory Theatre include Killing Russell Crowe, The Sunshine Boys, Milagro!, Sylvia, Two Grandmas From Brooklyn, and The Rabbi and the Gravedigger.
