Founded in 1929, the Loma Linda Fire Department provides a range of fire safety and prevention programs. Located in Loma Linda, Calif., it offers public education, cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and fire suppression programs. The department provides fire hydrant testing, hazardous materials response, vehicle extrication and emergency medical services. It additionally offers rescue services in cases related to automobile accidents, building collapse, train derailments, earthquakes and floods. The department also provides fire inspection and investigation solutions for schools and residential and commercial properties. Its staff includes assistant chiefs, captains, engineers, paramedics and firefighters. The Loma Linda Fire Department is a part of the city of Loma Linda, which also operates finance, economic development, and public safety and works departments.
