Rancho Las Positas Elementary first opened its doors as a K - 2 school in 1973, and the campus expanded to fifth grade in 1977. The school features 30 classrooms, a multimedia center, two science labs, a multipurpose facility, an extended student services learning center, office complex, community garden and playground. It is one of 12 schools in the district to have an API score of 800 or higher. Chris Calabrese is the school principal.
