History
In 1985, Lee and her former husband Don, decided it was time to open their own gallery. Lee's father, Ralph Love, was a well-established painter of California and the Southwest, and it was with just four of his paintings that the gallery was opened under the name Donlee Gallery of Fine Art. (Born in 1907, Ralph Love died in 1992, and he is listed as an Early California Artist. ) Other fine artists were gradually added. Two years after its opening Don felt the need to begin his own life, and Lee stayed with the growing new gallery. In 1994, she married one of her artists, Paul Youngman, and the name of the gallery was changed in 1997 to Lee Youngman Galleries. The Lee Youngman Gallery continues to be the choice of fine art collectors from all over the United States and Europe.
