Fountain Valley Police Department offers a range of services to the area community. Located in Fountain Valley, Calif., the department operates through its various divisions. The patrol division operates 24 hours, 365 days a year. The patrol officers work in uniform and operate marked black and white Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor vehicles. They are the first responders to the public calls for service. The traffic department regulates the more than 100,000 vehicles that travel the streets in the city through a traffic plan and selective enforcement efforts to guarantee public safety. The police department s detective bureau provides follow-up investigations on all criminal matters, with the exception of those involving narcotics and gangs.
