Lauren E. Gist, MD, MPH is a board-certified pediatrician specializing in developmental-behavioral pediatrics. With a special interest in evaluating and caring for children with behavioral challenges, developmental and behavioral concerns associated with genetic conditions, autism, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, Dr. Gist works closely with families to provide comprehensive care and treatment. As an associate professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine, she also instructs medical students and residents.
Dr. Gist completed her medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine and her residency and fellowship in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She holds a master's degree in public health with a specialty in maternal and child health from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
