Lisa Maier's winery opened to the public in June 2010 and works exclusively with Livermore Valley grapes. The winery's goal is to produce only estate wines and it's forecasted that by 2013, this will happen when the grapes from Maier's 20-acre vineyard reach maturity. In the meantime, Maier and consulting winemaker Ryan Flock of the Rosenblum Cellars family are bottling mostly reds, such as Petite Sirah and Cabernet from Viñas de Covarrubias Vineyard and other esteemed local sources. Their estate 2007 Chardonnay has already won medals. For visitors, the tasting room near Brisas and National streets is unpretentious and friendly and there's a Wine Club to reward loyal followers.
