HistoryLeah Harmatz, a Bay Area native, started Field Theory design studio out of the belief that everyone should have a beautiful, peaceful space to call home. Our aesthetic is influenced by travel, architecture, handcrafted furniture and flea market finds. With a focus on preserving architectural integrity and historic details, as well as environmental awareness, we like to strike a balance between classic and modern. Every space should tell a story. Field Theory has done commercial and residential interior design projects in cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Panama. Projects have been featured in Lonny, Domino, and Apartment Therapy. In 2018, Field Theory opened a retail storefront in the Outer Sunset neighborhood, selling vintage furniture, art, plants, rugs, ceramics and more. The space will host creative workshops, gatherings, design talks and other events.
