Lake Perris State Recreation Area coordinates, promotes and develops various recreational services and programs. It offers various recreational activities, such as hiking, biking, water skiing, boating, jet skiing, fishing, swimming, horse back riding and camping. Lake Perris State Recreation Area operates a Regional Indian Museum that provides information regarding native peoples who lived in the area before the Spanish habitation. In addition, it organizes a range of social and cultural events. It is operated by the California Department of Parks and Recreation, which manages more than 270 park units. Lake Perris State Recreation Area has been operational for more than 35 years and is located in Perris, Calif.
