The Lake Elsinore Unified School District covers more than 140 square mile area and serves a population of nearly 70,000 people in Lake Elsinore, Calif. The district is composed of more than 20 elementary, middle and high schools. It also operates a continuing education school, alternative education center and the adult education program. The district also provides Head Start programs at several school sites. It offers classes from grades kindergarten through 12. Its schools provide a curriculum that includes leaning in various educational areas. The district has several committees of community members that develop curriculum, view materials, assess and recommend textbooks, and develop training in new practices and methods to improve instruction.
