KTLA TV Channel 5 is a local news station that provides the community and the greater portion of Los Angeles with information. The TV station offers news and entertainment programming. Its studios are on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood and its transmitter is located atop Mount Wilson. In 2006 KTLA became a CW affiliate, previous to that it was an affiliate of the WB network. Prior to 1995, KTLA was one of the leading independent stations in the country. This TV station is owned by Tribune Broadcasting.
