History
Kimberly Crest House & Gardens was the home of J.A. Kimberly, co-founder of the Kimberly-Clark paper company. In an effort to save the neighboring Prospect Park from development his daughter, Mary Kimberly Shirk, offered to donate the estate to the 'people of Redlands'. She was successful in saving Prospect Park, which is now owned by the City of Redlands, and she founded a non-profit to manage her estate. It is now utilized as a historic house museum and venue for weddings and special events.
