Seven years ago, Hawaiian islanders Pam and Myron Kashima arrived in San Ramon by a fluke. Captivated by Diablo Valley's sunny disposition and its large Hawaiian community, they decided to stay and so began the Kilohana Grill. The Grill, in its down-home Hawaiian style of sunny yellows and ocean blues, offers authentic island recipes: a blend of American, Asian and Portuguese influences. "We serve the food that the local Hawaiians eat," says head chef, Myron Kashima. Dishes include Loco Moco, Kalua Pork and Island Style Fried Chicken. Specials include Hawaiian Barbeque Chicken and Beef and Kalua Pork.
