Katy's Place was founded by Katy Curry, a local restaurant legend. It was acquired in 1989 by its present owners, and its menu vastly expanded, with several dishes added each year since, including numerous family recipes. Many of the employees, including the chef, have been with Katy's for 20 or more years. The restaurant continues to attract many people from around the world, including the King and Queen of Jordan, sports figures such as Tom Brady, golf pros, and Hollywood celebrities including Sandra Bullock, Sean Penn, Jessica Simpson, Adrian Brody, Jennifer Aniston, CBS Sports announcer Jim Nantz (who designed his own omelette, and calls Katy's Place, on air,
